The Difference Between Mesh Banners
When it comes to choosing the right mesh material for your outdoor signage, it’s important to consider factors such as wind load, visual impact, and printing quality. TPSCC offers three different mesh options, each with its own unique properties and recommended uses: Banner Mesh, Air Mesh, and Open Weave Mesh.
TPSCC Banner Mesh is a 90% mesh – 10% Air Flow material, also known as 12×12 PVC Mesh with a weight of 280gsm. This material provides an excellent printing surface for high-quality imagery while still allowing for some air flow. It’s most commonly used in areas with little to no wind expected, as it still catches 90% of the wind load despite allowing 10% air flow. However, caution should be exercised when installing this product onto temporary or permanent cyclone fencing outdoors.
TPSCC Air Mesh is an 80% mesh – 20% Air Flow material, also known as 9×9 PVC Mesh with a weight of 260gsm. This material is essentially made from the same material as the Banner Mesh PVC but with slightly larger perforations, allowing for up to 20% air flow. It’s commonly used in situations where the client wants to make a strong visual impact but is also somewhat concerned about wind loading on their fence.
TPSCC Open Weave Mesh is a 65% mesh – 35% Air Flow material, also known as 6×6 PVC Mesh with a weight of 220gsm. This mesh material is the safest choice in TPSCC’s printed mesh offering. It allows for 35% air flow, which is the most air flow possible on a printed PVC mesh material. It’s commonly used on large construction or event sites where wind loading is a concern. However, when choosing this product, you’ll have to sacrifice some contrast potential of the print in exchange for the safety of the site.
In conclusion, TPSCC offers three different mesh options, each with its own unique properties and recommended uses. Choosing the right one depends on various factors such as wind load, visual impact, and printing quality. Be sure to consider all the factors before making a decision.
